Julie Shaylor, Co-Founder & President
Julie Shaylor is the President of MindSearch, a marketing
research consulting firm started in 1991, and located in Tewksbury, MA.
Her work experience includes service as Marketing Research Director for a
major direct mail marketer, as Market Research Manager for a Fortune 500
industrial supplies manufacturer, and as Product Manager for an
international marketer of industrial products. Ms. Shaylor brings a
unique perspective to marketing research consulting having spent over
fifteen years on the client side of the business. She knows from personal
experience what clients need in terms of assistance and communication.
Julie earned her MBA with a concentration in Quantitative Research
Methods from the University of Massachusetts. Prior to obtaining her MBA,
Julie attended Colby College and earned a BA degree in Economics. She has
continued to keep up-to-date with new research methodologies by doing
post-graduate study at Carnegie Mellon, Boston University, Bentley
College, and attending numerous marketing research seminars sponsored by
the Burke Institute, the American Marketing Association (AMA), the
Marketing Research Association (MRA), and the Qualitative Research
Consultants Association (QRCA).

Scott Hunter, Co-Founder
& Vice-President
As Vice-President, Scott Hunter is responsible for managing
internal Operations and Finance, as well as various aspects of customer interaction at
MindSearch. Scott's professional work experience includes service as
Director of Marketing Communications for a consumer electronics firm, as
well as Director of Events, Direct Marketing and Channel Marketing for a
fast-growing business enterprise software firm. Scott also has experience
conducting investigative secondary marketing research, having served as a
Competitive Intelligence Manager for a large telecom company. With his
extensive and varied background in Marketing, Scott brings this experience
to bear in developing new projects, conducting analyses, reviewing and
presenting study results to clients.
Scott holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and Management
from the University of Massachusetts, as well as an MA from George
Washington University in International Politics and Business. He also has
a BA in both Political Science and Sociology.
